Robot Champions is an over the top robot fighting simulation which is highly reminiscent of Robot Wars from BBC2 back in the late 90s and early noughties.
Designed to be played both locally and online, it brings customisable carnage that the TV show that inspired it is so famous for. Having played a few Robot Wars games in the past, it was so fun to smash the hell out of other players. Robot Champions has taken it to the extreme, in an excellent way of course.
The Kickstarter for this closes on the 24th September. The campaign page can be found here. It really does look amazing and it’s something I really hope does reach its goal. Be sure to head over to the Kickstarter link to see the game in action.
If it does, then it means that it could see a release on consoles as well. It would be a perfect addition to the ever growing Switch library!
UPDATE: The project has now been cancelled, with the developers seeking alternate funding routes.
